Machine-A opened in its current Soho location in 2013, and it’s considered one of London’s most influential fashion stores. Some of the designers currently stocked include Martine Rose, Cottweiler and Hyein Seo.

Dover Street Market

To me, this amazing store provides the ultimate in product curation.Dover Street Market is the retail brainchild of Japanese cult brand Comme des Garçons. Expect a diverse mix of designers – from Gucci to Craig Green – in this fashion maven’s dream of a store that spreads across five floors. For people-watching alone it’s worth a visit, and there’s a café, Rose Bakery, on level five.

Cyberdog

Cyberdog is one the biggest fashion institutions of my generation. It’s the ultimate techno/rave clothing experience, and it has been influencing fashion since the 1990s. I’d describe it as a shop and museum rolled into one. A Camden Market mainstay, Cyberdog also has shops in Brighton and Ibiza.

Tate Modern

Tate Modern is one of my favorite contemporary museums in the world. I often discover new artists here, and leave the place feeling inspired and armed with new knowledge. The art curation is as amazing as the building itself. Since its £260m revamp in 2016, Tate Modern has grown even larger, allowing 60% more artworks from the collection to be displayed.

Portobello Market

Vintage shopping on Portobello Road is super cozy and you’ll find very exclusive collectors’ pieces as well as random gems. This famous west London market is a magnet for fashion designers from near and far, who arrive early on a Friday morning to get their hands on the best finds.

To me, walking around London and looking at the incredible diversity of people is the ultimate fashion-fix. Areas like Brick Lane on a Saturday are an experience not to be missed when visiting this multicultural city.
